IMG purchases Bobcat S450

A few months ago we have complemented our mobile plant equipment fleet with a wireless remote Bobcat S450. Initially purchased as a safety initiative to access particularly hazardous parts of the plant to remove build ups of material, this machine has now become the preferred option for handling tasks that require removing the operator from hazardous environments.

The bobcat has complete wireless control, tested to a distance of 200m, and is fitted with safety features such as tilt cut-out sensors on the remote, wireless cameras and emergency stops on both the machine and remote. The machine is utilised for refractory demolition, confined space plant maintenance and civil works and compliments our wireless remote Bobcat E26 excavator.

With the added safety benefits, the increase in productivity means the work can be carried out within the planned maintenance period.
