Servicing hydraulic cylinders is a significant part of our offering, we operate a dedicated cylinder department with the equipment, experience, and knowledge to service the largest and most complex cylinders. Our hydraulic workshop augments the field service and projects operations with dedicated skillsets to overhaul or service any hydraulic component, with purpose-built equipment to provide best-in-class service.
With a well-equipped workshop and seamless access to IMG’s integrated offerings in welding, fabrication, and machining, our hydraulic engineering workshop effortlessly manages intricate and complex jobs.
Our cylinder servicing capabilities boast a vast array of resources, including honing capacities of up to 1000mm in diameter, a large capacity stripping/assembly bench with a testing facility, comprehensive machine facilities, welding expertise, grinding and chroming services, full painting facilities, and a commitment to quality workmanship using top-notch materials and renowned hydraulic seals. Additionally, our expertise extends to custom design and build services alongside specialised knowledge in sealing technology.
At the core of our honing capabilities lies the Sunnen HTC, one of the largest computer-controlled honing machines in New Zealand. This cutting-edge machine enables continuous stock removal, ensuring optimal operation efficiency. Its graphical display highlights bore irregularities, allowing for manual adjustments or automatic bore correction. With the ability to hone diameters ranging from 50mm to 1000mm and lengths up to 5 metres (or 10 metres with end-to-end workpiece manoeuvring), the Sunnen HTC 5002 is equipped with special features for correcting bore geometry errors, achieving superior surface finishes, and optimising material removal rates, ultimately resulting in cost savings.
Additionally, our in-house digital surface finish measurement further ensures impeccable quality and precision in every project.
